As CEO of Sickey Global Strategies, LLC, David provides experience-based consulting services on issues including Human Rights and Social Justice, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW), Diversity and Representation, Federal Indian Law and Policy, Sovereignty, Self- Determination, Tribal Business Development and Economies, Tribal Policy and Governance, and Tribal/International Relations. David also speaks publicly on these and related topics.

Elected in 2003 when he was 25, David was the youngest-ever member of the Coushatta Tribal Council. By 2004 he had been designated as Vice-Chairman of the Tribe. After serving as a member of Tribal government for 14 consecutive years, David was elected Tribal Chairman in 2017. Choosing to serve on the Coushatta Tribal Council for an unprecedented four terms, David's dedication and leadership focused on ensuring the best life possible for his community.
